National Eye Centre To Renovate School Facilities, Graduates Students

With the graduation of students of the National Eye Centre School of Ophthalmic Nursing, the Chief Medical Director of National Eye Centre Kaduna, Dr. Mahmoud Alhassan  has promised to mobilize private sector and friends of the hospital to renovate the school.

Speaking at the matriculation ceremony of the 23rd set of Nursing Students in the school on Monday 20th January, 2020, Dr. Alhassan revealed that the school was due for renovation. While speaking on security,  he advised the students to be safety conscious and avoid unnecessary movement out of the school.

The  Principal of the School, Alhaji Abubakar Jibril Rifun disclosed that a total of 48 students matriculated. He commended the efforts of the CMD for the overwhelming support enjoyed by the school through stable power supply, 24  hours water supply, internet facility, clinical and education materials. According to him, “The School of Post Basic Ophthalmic Nursing, National Eye Centre, Kaduna has maintained her accreditation status which is the full accreditation awarded by the Midwifery Council of Nigeria after the accreditation exercise and now given the right to admit 50 students per session instead of 30”.
