SERVICES PROVIDED

The Pharmacy Department is charged with the responsibilities of providing pharmaceutical care services to our teeming patients. The department has reasonable number of pharmacists who are well trained to handle patient oriented care, involving aspects of pharmaceutical care, dissemination of drug information, monitoring of medication regiments of patients and pharmacovigillance, and assisted by other technical and support staff.

The department has experienced an increase in work load of 32% between 2016 and 2017 resulting from increased accessibility of drugs by our teeming patient under the leadership of the Chief Medical Director (Dr. M.B. Alhassan).

The department provides medication services to all in patients and out patients and in addition consultation services to out-patient involving aspects of counseling, and nutrition guide support services where applicable.

The department has secured the approval of the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria to serve as Centre for Internship Training of pharmacy graduates and now precepts intern pharmacist.
