The World Sight Day 2017 took place on the 12th of October, 2017 with the theme, “Make Vision Count”. The lecture took place in the Lecture Theatre of the National Eye Centre, Kaduna by Dr. Amina Hassan-Wali with other speakers. There was also free eye screening in Afaka, Mando.

On the 15th of March, 2017, National Eye Centre, Kaduna commemorated the World Glaucoma Day tagged BIG: “Beat Invisible Glaucoma” There was free eye screening for patients in the Centre that day to treat glaucoma and also, a lecture was held to educate people about this eye disease.
