Clinical Services > Primary Care Clinic (PCC)

The General Ophthalmology Outpatient Department (GOOPD) is the “eye” of the hospital as it is the first point of contact for all patients seeking eye care in the National Eye Centre, (NEC) Kaduna. The department offers comprehensive eye care, including medical, surgical, and optical services for incoming patients. It also identifies patients who require additional care and refer them to the respective subspecialty departments within the hospital. Our mandate is to offer treatment for eye diseases to prevent blindness and increase awareness of potential blinding conditions through health education. We aim to ensure quality eye care for patients attending the GOOPD while reducing the risk of burn-out and fatigue of the staff.
